Inspired by the swing era stylists of the late 1930s and early 1940s, the 'Hot Six' performs music by the likes of Louis Armstrong, Bix Biederbeck, Fats Waller, early Duke Ellington and the John Kirby sextet. The arrangements tend to be re-imaginings of the classic jazz repertoire featuring tightly harmonised horns and guitar set against the rhythm section backdrop
